This 10-day introductory course helps teachers strengthen their English skills while exploring practical ways to use the language in real and classroom contexts. Participants will develop confidence in grammar, pronunciation, and communication, and learn how to integrate technology effectively into their teaching.
The program combines interactive lessons and cultural immersion activities, offering opportunities to practice English both in the classroom and around the city. By the end of the course, participants will feel more fluent, confident, and ready to apply their new knowledge to engage and inspire their own students.
The course uses a dynamic, learner-centered approach designed for adult participants with limited English skills. The teaching is built around:
Lessons include real-life scenarios, pair work, and role-plays to encourage communication in everyday contexts.
Hands-on activities like shopping tasks, direction-giving, storytelling, and food ordering ensure practical language use.
Cultural immersion activities (e.g., market visits) bring language to life in authentic environments.
Videos, music, flashcards, language games (Kahoot, Wordwall) make learning fun, relevant, and effective.
Grammar and vocabulary build logically each day, reinforcing prior learning.
Methods accommodate various adult learning styles and levels of confidence.
Upon completion of the course, participants will:
Demonstrate improved ability to communicate in everyday English situations.
Show increased confidence in both spoken and written English.
Be equipped with a foundation in basic grammar and vocabulary.
Be able to interact independently in simple social and travel situations.
Understand how to continue learning English beyond the course using strategies introduced during the program.
