This 5-day job shadowing program offers Vocational Education and Training (VET) teachers from diverse fields a unique opportunity to explore the interconnected world of Building, Electric & Energy, Railway Transport, and Road Transport industries. The program aims to foster cross-disciplinary understanding and provide participants with a holistic view of these industries. Participants will spend their days visiting various relevant workplaces, engaging with professionals, and actively learning about the practices and technologies that drive these sectors.
Target Audience: Educators in the following sectors:
Architectural Assistant, Architectural Renovator, Builder, Gas Technician, Geodetic Surveyor , Industrial Designer, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Interior Designer , Irrigation, Environment & Civil Engineer, Painter, Plasterer, Plumber, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic, Sanitary Engineering Technician, Tiler, Electrician, Energy Technician , Marine Electrician, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic, Renewable Energy Technician , Railway Technician.
Proficiency in industry-specific skills and technologies.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.

The methodology is designed to provide a comprehensive and immersive learning opportunity. The process begins with careful selection of host organizations or industry partners relevant to the teachers' diverse disciplines. Prior to the job shadowing, teachers engage in a needs assessment to identify their specific learning objectives and areas of interest. The program is structured into a 5-day schedule, with each day dedicated to a different aspect of the industry or field, ensuring exposure to various skills and practices. Teachers actively observe, participate, and reflect on the day's experiences, with regular debrief sessions and discussions. This methodology incorporates collaborative learning and sharing of best practices among the teachers, enabling them to adapt and enhance their teaching methods based on real-world industry insights. The job shadowing methodology promotes professional development, industry relevance, and a broader perspective in vocational education.
