Participants will explore captioned video content, visual-based platforms, interactive storytelling, and assistive technologies to foster a more inclusive classroom environment. Upon completing the course, participants will develop the following key competencies:

  • Digital Accessibility Awareness – Understanding how to design inclusive lessons that accommodate hearing-impaired students.
  • Visual & Multimedia Content Creation – Using platforms like Canva, PowToon, Pixton, and Google Sites to develop visually engaging materials.
  • Assistive Technology Proficiency – Learning how to integrate captions, subtitles, and real-time transcription tools.
  • Effective Classroom Management with ICT – Utilizing platforms like Google Classroom, Edmodo, and ClassDojo for structured learning.
  • Interactive & Gamified Learning – Applying tools like Kahoot, Google Forms, and Socrative to create engaging assessments.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Developing strategies for student participation, teamwork, and parental involvement.

This course empowers educators to foster an inclusive digital classroom where hearing-impaired students can thrive in a technology-driven learning environment.

The course follows a Learning by Doing approach, where educators gain hands-on experience through guided tutorials, practical exercises, and group activities. Key concepts and digital tools are introduced, followed by interactive projects that encourage participants to create their own inclusive educational resources.

The methodology focuses on:

  • Practical Application: Educators will create digital materials using real-world tools.
  • Collaborative Learning: Participants will engage in discussions, share insights, and work on group projects.
