Description
‘CLIL’ stands for Content and Language Integrated Learning. The best way to learn English is in English class, of course, but students will develop their language skills faster and more effectively if English is the tool to learn other subjects as well.

When we can become aware of opportunities that offer the possibility for personal growth and academic growth, we are more likely to be actively involved in the process. This process requires developing a “Growth Mindset.
The participant is able to:
- Determine the role of the CLIL teacher.
- Design an effective course activities utilizing the main 8 mindsets.
- Create material that incorporates metacognitive strategies and “learning to learn”.
- Get personal and hands-on experience in developing a growth mindset.
- Use the components of transformational teaching and learning to construct activities and projects.
- Use a wide range of resources and materials such as ICT tools.
- Put into practice different CLIL techniques for different stages in a lesson.
- Learn how and which aspects evaluate in CLIL.
Teachers will gain the necessary skills and resources to promote a growth mindset in their students by working hands-on with and practicing growth mindset on themselves. Teachers will also create course ideas / unit plans / activities implementing the areas of growth mindset. All of the material created during the course (activities, techniques, mini-projects, worksheets, videos, games etc) and will be ready for immediate classroom use.
- Use CLIL materials and resources in a wide range of classroom contexts.
- Access to a new network of teachers across Europe inspires new ideas, teaching methods and problem solving.
- Reflecting on our own teaching methods with others will enrich and inspire implementing new ideas.
- Though lesson planning, teachers will learn the whole process of a CLIL lesson, making it easier to be implemented in their classes.
- This course enriches the English language skills of the participants.
